Animating CG Characters

The SkillsVR CCK is still in beta. The current Animation and Timeline nodes can be used in limited ways to test the concept of animating characters in a scene.

If you would like to add full animation to the characters in your complete CG experience build, contact your SkillsVR representative to request our professional animation services.

Timeline Assistant

This window can be opened from the SkillsVR CCK menu and offers access to ready build animation, imported animations, and useful control over your 3D characters.

Accessing the Timeline Assistant

After an animation director and a playable asset has been set up through an animation node, you will be able to drag any of these options into the timeline window to define when they are in effect. Some may require you to select precisely which character they are affecting by clicking on the selection icon that looks like a dot inside a circle.

This is where you can set a default animation for a character with an animator which will effectively loop endlessly unless otherwise overridden from any timeline playable.

Look-At Points

These are points in 3D space where a character can cast their general gaze towards.

Emoter

These are preset emotions that a character can show on their face.
