CCK Package Manager

The CCK Package Manager is a tool for you to manage CCK components and extensions assets for users. You can use this tool to explore and install downloadable assets published by Skills^VR, as well as manage and update installed assets and packages.

Opening the Package Manager Window

Click the "SkillsVR CCK" menu item and select "Package Manager".

GUI Layout

The CCK Package Manager provides two main views:

• Assets Explorer: Used to browse and install Skills^VR assets.
• Package Manager View: A detailed list fo packages available to manage.

The following gif shows you how to toggle between views.

Explore Online Assets

1. Assets View: The assets currently available.
2. Refresh Button: Fetch and reload assets from the online server.
3. Search Field: Find the assets by name.
4. Category Filter: Find assets by categories.
5. View-Change Button: Switch between Package and Asset views.

Browse Assets

The CCK Package Manager will show the Assets View by default. Refresh the page to discover the latest assets available online. You can also change the amount of assets shown in a single page via the "View Results" dropdown.

Use the page navigator at the bottom of the page when applicable.

Search Assets

Search by Name

Type the name of the assets or applicable keywords in the search bar provided.

Search by Category

Use the predefined filters on the right hand side to drill down on results.

Install Assets

Click the "Install" button to download and install the assets. A progress bar will be shown when the install starts.

Locate Assets

Once installed, the icons available to the asset will change.

Click the ⌖ icon to locate the asset in Project View. If the asset is not a file-based asset (eg: prefab, scene, or image), then the package folder will be selected instead.

Uninstall Assets

To remove an existing asset, click the ⚙ icon and select "Uninstall". You will then need to confirm your action in the following popup.

Manage Packages

1. Refresh Button: Reload the list with the most up-to-date information.
2. Package List View: Show all the packages (available and installed) with version info.
3. Search Field: Find packages by name.
4. Package Info Panel: Show all the info/details of the package selected.
5. Operation Button Area: The applicable action button.
6. View Toggle: Toggle between Package Manager and Assets view.

• The check mark shows the packages that are already installed in the project.
• The box icon indicates the packages that are required by the CCK and cannot be uninstalled.

Install Packages

Select any available package that does not already have a check mark beside it and click the "Install" button on the bottom right corner of the window. A progress bar will appear once the installation begins.

Update/Reload Packages

If there is an update available, you will see the relevant text appear in the call to action buttons in the bottom right hand corner.

Uninstall Packages

To uninstall a package, select it from the list then click the applicable button in the bottom right hand corner. You will then need to confirm your action in the popup window.
